Buzz and I are heading up to Lake of the Woods this weekend for some Walleye action. It will be a bit out of our element...hard water, small jigs, livebait, and of course walleyes...but we are sure we will have a blast. Check back next week for some photos and possibly a video or two. We are staying and fishing out of Arneson's Rocky Point Resort and have heard nothing but good things. Buzz's dad and his friend "Dirty" will be joining us for the weekend, and I'm sure the good times won't disappoint. Take care and have a great Superbowl Weekend!

2009 Tournament Schedule and Updates
The bass itch is upon me like swimming in a pond full of chiggers. I have updated a tentative 2009 tournament schedule with the dates and lakes of most of my tournaments for the season. You will notice that there are some conflicting dates, so the tournament I will fish will be a decision I will make closer to the date. I might try my hand as a co-angler for the Bassmaster Weekend Series all on the Mississippi River, but that will also be determined at a later date. If anyone has any experience with that circuit, feel free to chime in with their experiences.
I have also updated a few links. Fisher's of Men East division is now Full Throttle Outdoors. I may still fish a few Fisher's of Men West division tournaments, but who knows, it will depend on Team BassAckwards finances. I have also added a list of the blogs I visit on a regular basis. There are lots of useful information as well as interesting articles on bass fishing within these blogs so support them and visit their sites.
Hopefully I'll start updating this blog on a more frequent basis, as I cannot wait till open water. A little update on my ice fishing...I've been out a handful of times, caught a nice perch meal at WBL last Friday. I've been mostly tip-up fishing on WBL with zero success. My soon to be father-in-law did catch a small pike though, so maybe there is still hope. I'll be out again all weekend, sitting in the truck listening to country and playing cribbage...wish me luck.
Check back soon for more updates and ramblings...
